Lewis, Elaine

This is my second year teaching at Omak School District and serving as the Omak FFA advisor. I bring to Omak 35 years teaching experience in agriculture education and serving as an FFA advisor. I have taught in California, Nevada and Washington states. I teach Veterinary Medicine, Natural Resources, Agriculture Biology, Building Trades and Principles of Agriculture. All of my classes with the exception of Building Trades articulate as a science credit. The students in Agriculture Biology will take the End of Course Exam which is required for graduation.
FFA is an intra-curricular part of the agriculture education program and a very extensive part of my life. FFA provides training and experiences in life skills such as leadership, cooperation, and career skills. Students are presented with opportunities to travel, network, build a resume, compete in career development events, earn money and participate in community service projects.
