Northwest Youth Corps

"Youth Corps Camping programs combine education and job skill training with outdoor adventure for 16 to 18/19*" year olds. With the guidance of experienced field staff, youth crew members work on conservation, reforestation, and recreation projects, while developing leadership skills and learning how to work as a team. Crews camp in the field for their entire 5-6 week session, traveling to a new project each week and recreating on the weekends. In addition to earning a $300/week stipend and high school credit, participants make new friends, learn new skills, explore the Northwest's wildest places, challenge themselves, and have an awesome summer!"

City of Omak

The Census Bureau
Pay is $16-$17.50/hour. Miles are paid .58¢/mile and time on the road is paid. Training is paid. You’ll work door to door in your community assisting folks with the census where directed. Hiring is for 8 weeks - if you like the work and they like your work you may be hired on for an additional 8 weeks. Hours are flexible - work up to 40 hours/week or less - (20 or more hours a week is preferred). You set your work schedule. Internships Available:

PROJECT H.O.P.E. Summer Internships
Project HOPE offers paid summer internships for high school students interested in exploring a variety of careers in the health care field. The internships are up to four weeks in length for 20 hours per week pending site availability. Interns are paid $1,000 for successful completion of the entire internship. New this year: interns apply to a site that is within easy commute distance from their home. If there is not a site in your area, participation is not possible this year. These internship applications are open to current juniors and seniors with a minimum GPA of 2.0 who pass a Washington State Patrol background check and have or obtain a social security number by the application deadline.
